Hi Zusammen,

hat jemand Erfahrung mit der Neo² und dem Verwenden einer SSD?
Bei mir kommt nur das und die SSD kann nicht genutzt werden:

Ist der Kernel zu alt? Gibt es vielleicht ein Kernel-Modul was ich installieren kann oder ist es Hoffnungslos?

Normal laufen die SSDs ganz genauso wie herkömmliche Festplatten, (ich nutze auch eine).

Hmm...Dann kommt es vielleicht mit diesem speziellen Modell nicht klar. Denn korrekt installiert ist die SSD, sonst würde ja nix davon in "dmesg" stehen.

Ich hatte mit SSDs nur in einem NAS von WD ein gewaltiges Problem, sonst laufen die eigentlich überall, selbst in Geräten die lange vor der "Erfindung" von SSDs entwickelt wurden. (z.B. an alten PCs die noch mit ATA Platten betrieben wurden.
Konnte die Platte denn im Receiver formatiert werden?

Sorry, dass ich so stark zeitversetzt antworte.
Das formatieren habe ich nicht getestet, denn ich habe sie schon vorher formatiert und die Daten von der HDD drüber kopiert.
Aktuell kann ich sie aber nicht formatieren innerhalb der Cooli, weil sie eben nicht richtig erkannt wird.

.. steck die SSD vorerst an eine PC an und formatiere die NTFS, dann in die Cooli und dort dann ext3 oder ext4 formatieren.

also wenn ich mir die Fehlermeldungen im Log oben so anschaue, weiss ich nicht, ob ne andere Formatierung da was nützt...

äh, Box frisch booten, einloggen per Telnet und dann "dmesg" eintippen, ohne die " "

edit: das spielt dir quasi die Kernel-Meldungen seit dem Booten wieder ab (aber in umgekehrter zeitlicher Reihenfolge! Also was oben steht, kam zuletzt!) edit2: was teilweise nichtmal im Bootlog auftaucht

Ich danke euch, aber ich werde es jetzt sein lassen. Hab keine Lust ständig den Receiver ausm Schrank zu ziehen und die Kabel ab und an zu montieren...
Hab die Festplatte nochmal unformatiert und mit FAT32 angeschlossen, aber jedes mal das gleiche.
So wie es aussieht haben wir dann hier einen Kandidaten, der nicht mit der Neo² kompatibel ist:

Bei meiner Neo hatte ich auch mal eine Toshiba 500GB die sich partout nicht erkennen lassen wollte.

.. ja, es gibt immer wieder Sachen die gibt es gar nicht.

Was mich eher etwas nachdenklich stimmt, worin der Sinn liegen sollte so eine SSD an eine Cooli zu stecken.
1. 128GB ist nicht die Welt und
2. der Preis im Vergleich zu einer HDD auch kein Schnäppchen.

Das ist auch der Grund, daß ich mich seinerzeit für eine SSD entschieden habe. Ich habe nacheinander zwei Samsung Evos verbaut, fast ohne Probleme.
Die Neo hat ab und zu die SSD nicht erkannt, was sich aber meistens durch einen Neustart erledigt hat. Zweimal hat das jedoch nicht geholfen. Erst durch eine Neuformatierung nach Datensicherung war alles wieder normal.
Meine HD51 hat bisher noch nicht rumgezickt...toi toi toi
